Our Campus Mission Statement: "We believe our students at GSMS will achieve GREATNESS and CHANGE THE WORLD. This will be done through the gift of teaching to inspire our students to discover and develop their talents. We encourage community support throughout their educational journey."

Tutorials are available every day at 7:45am - 8:00am and Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30pm - 4:30pm.

Library books Every student is expected to check out a library book. In order to encourage reading fluency, upon arrival to the gym in the morning, students will read until tutorials begin. Students should be reading at home at least 10 minutes per/night. We also encourage students to record books they read to go toward the "40 Book Challenge"!

Student Leadership:

1.) Students will be organizing a "Leadership Notebook"; This notebook should be at least 2.5" and contain five dividers (one for each core class and one for electives). Students will be collecting Cornell Notes from their classes, test scores, and work samples that they are especially proud of.
2.) Every GSMS student will be required to lead their own Parent/Teacher conference the week before Spring Break. The "Leadership Notebook" will be vital in this conference and must be kept up to date.

Dates for the Student Led Conferences (SLC) are:
6th Grade - 3/8/17
7th Grade - 3/9/17
8th Grade - 3/10/17

*Times for each student will be provided no later than the week prior to these dates. We look forward to the GREAT things they will have to share!

The excitement for the 2016-2017 school year is evident at GSMS! As principal, I would like to outline our way of doing things. At GSMS our motto is, "Loving, Learning, and preparing Leaders for tomorrow!"  It is a great privilege to educate your children and help them to achieve their best in all that they do. I invite you to join us as we make this the best year yet!
